Today is the 38th Commando Anniversary...as a norm we had a celebration over Pasir Ris camp the very place where all pure commandos are born!!
We started the day with a short session of Taebo which was lead by a female instructor....in my opinion taebo is abit like aerobic sia just that it consists of punches and kicking thats all...nothing much in fact find it pretty dull....
After which was the start of the 7aside soccer competition.We managed to come in 3rd overall...just too bad we our last 2 matches due to fatigue and the stars were aligned well enough for us...but still what matters was all of us had our share of fun...no doubt we were disappointed but still a lost is a lost no 2 ways about it....
^_^ there were other games too such as Tug-of-war, caterpillar , catch the water bomb,river crossing and 1 puzzle game forgotten whats the name of the game already......
Well after all the games and prize presentation it marks the end of the day.YAY! BOOK OUT!!
Met Weiz , Matt and Chris to go pay kel a visit...wah see him suffering pretty much with all the vomitting and giddyness...he can barely gather the strength to talk to us man...haiyo... get well soon bro! Ur a brave one =)

Supposed its time to be back for some post,afterall its been awhile....
Well last week as my mates are out in the field, i was lucky enough to stay back in camp to do guard duty as a result skipping it!! wahaha Respect them for going through the tough field trip especially when the load was ridiculously heavy!!
Well i was doing guard duty with hong ping for 2 days...and we came to talk about an interesting issue....Because as we were doing out sentry duty during 1am in the morning, we realise the canteen uncle and auntie came to work as early as 3am in the morning....we both were saying,is it even still possible to find people with the mentality such as those of our parent's times??? What i meant was just to be contented with what u have and lead a simple life....The canteen uncle and auntie leaves about 6pm and then come back next morning around 3am...i mean how many people would actually do this faithfully everyday for god knows how many years man....are we even discipline enough to do it? haha
On friday, went to zouk with matthew , xiao ben , punky and jian yun.Punky happened to lost his wallet that day...wah it was a pretty messy situation because punky,xiao ben and matthew were all drunk then have to look after them and then everyone was everywhere!! haha xiao ben was being looked after by jian yun but i had no idea where they were...then i had to look after matthew and punky...then later when punky realised his wallet was missing,no idea if he got pickpocketed or he dropped it but still had to follow him to the security and stuff to look for it and the same type keeping alookout for matthew in case he walks away....everyone was simply all over the shop, but fortunately punky soon snapped out of it and he was more sober already....then later , punky's wallet was returned to the lost and found counter....phew luckily man....however the money in the wallet is gone....haiyoh why cant ppl just return sth which doesnt belong to them entirely...have to take the cash away....so hard up meh....where are the morales man.....but at least the person was still nice enough to return it to the lost and found section since the wallet contain important documents....guess the cash is just a small issue ba... ^_^

Brunch at Paulaner today was awesome!! They serve really good german food there...things like pork knuckle , their sausages are all simply awesome....the moment we step in, the aroma makes ur stomach expands!!!Ready to take in more food than ever!!! hahaha They serve very nice beer there too....the brunch can choose to have the free flow of beer or soft drink, but too bad didnt take the beer one because after the meal i had to rush for a game of soccer....a game that i promised to help thinesh play this morning....
The game ended in a lost of 5-1....so sad but was lucky enough to score 1 goal for the team....throughout the game i was feeling real bloated and lethargic because only had about 4 hours of sleep....so probably like 70% of the time of the game i was walking....hahahaha
For the past few days,been meeting alot of interesting taxi drivers....they always share with me their experience and the type of customers they meet....OK i not sure they complaining to me or sharing with me thou....hahaha but i enjoy the stories they tell me thou always interesting and refreshing....There was 1 of this driver who was scolding his friend through his hp then later he explain to me what was going on in hokkien but as usual i cant understand shit except for some of the profanities that he used so all i did was "YA , AR and Hahahaha" sounds abit spastic eh...lol no choice lah cant understand so entertain him abit...hehehe
Guess Taxi Drivers feels lonely while on the job , noone else to talk to thats why the passengers are their only friends while on the job!! So be nice to them!! LOL Afterall u can learn some things from them...did u even know there is a backpack hotel in singapore?? I never knew till yesterday!!
Now got mind block already....dont know what to type anymore...so laterz!

Last night, I experience one of the most exciting taxi rides ever!!!Wooot Ridiculously fun man!! I boarded the cab at simei, was gonna head down to geylang bahru to pick puay sian up.So the moment i was in the cab i gave puay sian a call to tell him that i am already in the cab....the taxi driver overheard and asked me to tell him that we will be arriving in 5 mins....i thought that it was a ridiculous timing considering from simei to kallang.I assumed that the taxi driver doesnt want to wait for puay sian, he just want to go there pick him up and proceed to the next destination!!...
So as we entered into PIE(Pan Island Expressway)the taxi driver started talking to me and so i also chatted with him afterall he seemed to be a pretty alright guy to talk to....as if we had a common link like that...talked about his work shifts and stuff and how busy he was....then i realised he was driving pretty fast at about 100km/h but i still doubt that he can reach in 5 mins....but i heck it and continued talking to him....then suddenly he started flashing his headlights continuosly....ON OFF , ON OFF , ON OFF....so i assumed that the Subaru infront must had almost tried to cause an accident moments ago and i didnt realised it....BUT I WAS WRONG.....Soon the driver started to flash his headlights again....WOOT!! and this time i realised the speedometer is increasing it speed gradually until 140km/h!!! This excitment is so shiok!! The cab driver is racing with the Subaru....everytime the cab is right behind the subaru who slows down due to traffic infront ,he would flash the headlights!!! wah the race was exciting....cutting from 3rd lane all the way to 1st lane then once again back to 3rd lane.....cutting here and there as if the road was owned by us!! wahahaha simply fun....wah then really in no time reaching Geylang Bahru already!!! And So the race ended.....sad!!
The moment puay sian boared the cab, the taxi driver immediately knew that we are in army now due to his really significant 1 of a kind army hair cut!!! hahahaha so the taxi driver assumed the both of us are from BMT tekong....yup...so the driver started to tell us about the army at the present compared to the past....saying that army nowadays very welfare already.So I asked him where was he used to serve....guess what!! He is my senior!! Commando!! 1974 batch.....wah super long time ago....era of the true Commado....hahaha so he told us of his experience and what he and his mates did.Puay Sian and I had an awesome time laughing our ass off as we listen to his stories....he even told us his son is in guards now...but chui IPPT cant even get gold....lol!!then his son's gf even said that the bf useless even the father can run faster than the son!!! hahahaha funny. The driver said during his time his 2.4km is 5mins++ but in my opinion thats like 99% a lie...at that speed he would no doubt he the world fastest man already.....hahaha aiyoh uncle try to bluff me arh!! and listening to his stories, realised the commando in the past carries much more load compared to the present!! tsk tsk tsk ZHAI!!!

Finally the arduous task of standby duties over a span of 7 weeks is over!!Woot!!Cant believe out of the 7 weeks , i only had 1 day of the weekend off which was a sunday....Never been stuck in camp longer than this man!!
Well yesterday,went out orchard to have lunch with Ben aka Xiao di and Ziggy.We ate Sakae Tepanyaki...3 Of us ordered share for 5 people!!Wah crazy man even the manager who was serving us was laughing and he asked if we were famished!!! hahaha it was a really good meal...infact ever since sakae tepanyaki was established, i been impressed with the standard!!Nice Food at a very affordable price.
Then today,Ziggy,Punky,Ah Goh and me went to eat COCA steamboat buffet....omg the amount of food we order was crazy,as if we were some hungry brats who had been starved for god knows when...But we still managed to finish up all our orders...Punky even ate until his stomach started to bulge out like a tummy like that!! hahaha whats worse is after that he still has to bring his gf to chomp chomp to eat...GOOD LUCK!! After our meal, we were to Starbucks for coffee but without punky as he went to fetch his gf....At Starbucks,ran into Joshua...very long never see him liao...still the same talk lotsa shit....Just never runs dry of shit to talk!!hahaha Ziggy , Ah Goh and me had a good time sharing about our sec sch days and trend of our schools.

Around 1845hours we went on our seperate ways to go home...Something really unbelieveable happened at Somerset Mrt!!!When i reached the platform,the screen showed the next arrival time of the next train...It displayed 4mins....so i waited as i was listening to my mp3....then as the song i was listening to was about to end, i looked up at the screen again and the screen still displayed 4mins!!I thought probably 1 min not up yet maybe my mind was messing with me or sth....then suddenly through the Speakers, an announcement was made!! It said that the train going towards Dhoby Ghaut , City Hall , Raffle Place and Marina Bay is not in service!!! WHAT THE HELL!! how often do u get that!!! hahaha quite an experience!!So i decided to take a cab home , but realised i didnt had enough cash on me and was lazy to go draw money....so later i decided to walk to Dhoby Ghaut to take the North East Line to Outram and then take the East West Line home...At Meridien Hotel there, saw ziggy so decided that maybe should take a bus with him to bugis then from there take a train back....But wait and wait,the bus took so long to come...and when it finally came it was fully pack!!!ARGH!! so ziggy and i decided walk down to Plaza Singapura to draw some money then take cab home...having done so,we saw the taxi stand with a super duperly long queue and there wasnt any cab around the vicinity of the taxi stand....so ziggy decided to take a bus while i proceeded with my plan.....As i entered the train station,i saw some civil defense people and some police....Wonder whats going on -_-a Sometimes public transport aint that convenient afterall...having a liscense is still the best!!
Last month,i spend my 21st birthday in camp....Express my thanks and appreciation to people who wished me...people including Puay Sian ,Ling aka Plat ,Roger(my brother),Jie Hua ,Serena,Zhihao aka Sneaky,Sally(my sis),Brian aka Dog,Mian Lin aka hime ,Gilbert aka Bird ,Jia yi (my cousin) , Aunt Mabel ,My Father and Mother along with my Grandma .Also like to thank those who called me to wished me, people like Joshua , Lim aka Cow , Peng aka KKJ , Jian Wei aka Weiz , Christopher aka bitch....I would also like to thank Jeremy who actually dropped me a birthday testimonial on friendster...he actually went to the officer mess in camp to drop me a testimonial...i only realised it when i came home and saw my email...such a pleasant surprise...thanks my LJ friend!! I would like to thank Ah Goh would actually bought a cake for me in camp to celebrate my birthday....it was a real surprise really didnt expect to see a cake!!....intially my campmates came to my bunk and wanted to turn me out...thought gonna kena 1 time jialat jialat already...suddenly then switched off the lights and came the birthday cake!!wow first time!! Thanks Guys!! Also thanks to orange ,garvin ,Sathia ,Veggie , Qing Yao , Ziggy and Kenneth was wishing me.....
Wah after eating the cake...the time came!!Wah 6 guys came and grab me...2 of them holding to my arms while the other 4 grab my legs....wah i knew it the turn out time has come!!! i managed to struggle until they locked my ankle then i cant do anything anymore....then the rest came with water , colgate and that PUNKY came with cloth tape to tape my leg!!Trying to do some waxing for me!!ASS!! hahaha after the turn out need to go bath again...wah lau i just bath for less than 15mins then kena all these already....Grrr...Around 2300++hours,they suddenly off the bunk lights again and these time mannie came to pretend to borrow toilet paper...then suddenly sneaky and xiao di appeared...wow was surprised to see xiao di....actually came down all the way from bukit batok to pass me a birthday present!! Thanks man!! It was a shared gift from Jem, Xiao Di, Sneaks, Ziggy and Punky...Thanks Guys!! Then around 0100++hours , i was still awake playing my psp then suddenly i saw 4 guys opening my bunk door and rushing in...omg!!! Thinesh and Joel aka JJ had come to turn me out again!!!what the hell man birthday over still come turn me out!!! lol ...bloody hell kena colgate again...make my bedsheet and pillow case kena stain with colgate and JJ was spraying water!! But want like to thank thinesh for coming down all the way from town after he went out with his gf, he came all the way in cab despite the midnight charge to pass me a box of chocolate which is a birthday gift from him....and later returning home again in cab despite the midnight charge...didnt really have to do this!!Thanks heaps my buddy!! hahaha

Thanks to my brother was buying me an ipod nano 3G , my mum for decoration my room which looks real nice...was surprised to see it when i enter the room and thanks for the Hi-Fi and my dad for the watch he bought for me....Also thank my grandma and aunt for the red packets....my silly grandma actually felt bad for not buying me anything for my 21st birthday but i told her its ok....not to worry so much ^^
