Last night, I experience one of the most exciting taxi rides ever!!!Wooot Ridiculously fun man!! I boarded the cab at simei, was gonna head down to geylang bahru to pick puay sian up.So the moment i was in the cab i gave puay sian a call to tell him that i am already in the cab....the taxi driver overheard and asked me to tell him that we will be arriving in 5 mins....i thought that it was a ridiculous timing considering from simei to kallang.I assumed that the taxi driver doesnt want to wait for puay sian, he just want to go there pick him up and proceed to the next destination!!...
So as we entered into PIE(Pan Island Expressway)the taxi driver started talking to me and so i also chatted with him afterall he seemed to be a pretty alright guy to talk to....as if we had a common link like that...talked about his work shifts and stuff and how busy he was....then i realised he was driving pretty fast at about 100km/h but i still doubt that he can reach in 5 mins....but i heck it and continued talking to him....then suddenly he started flashing his headlights continuosly....ON OFF , ON OFF , ON OFF....so i assumed that the Subaru infront must had almost tried to cause an accident moments ago and i didnt realised it....BUT I WAS WRONG.....Soon the driver started to flash his headlights again....WOOT!! and this time i realised the speedometer is increasing it speed gradually until 140km/h!!! This excitment is so shiok!! The cab driver is racing with the Subaru....everytime the cab is right behind the subaru who slows down due to traffic infront ,he would flash the headlights!!! wah the race was exciting....cutting from 3rd lane all the way to 1st lane then once again back to 3rd lane.....cutting here and there as if the road was owned by us!! wahahaha simply fun....wah then really in no time reaching Geylang Bahru already!!! And So the race ended.....sad!!
The moment puay sian boared the cab, the taxi driver immediately knew that we are in army now due to his really significant 1 of a kind army hair cut!!! hahahaha so the taxi driver assumed the both of us are from BMT tekong....yup...so the driver started to tell us about the army at the present compared to the past....saying that army nowadays very welfare already.So I asked him where was he used to serve....guess what!! He is my senior!! Commando!! 1974 batch.....wah super long time ago....era of the true Commado....hahaha so he told us of his experience and what he and his mates did.Puay Sian and I had an awesome time laughing our ass off as we listen to his stories....he even told us his son is in guards now...but chui IPPT cant even get gold....lol!!then his son's gf even said that the bf useless even the father can run faster than the son!!! hahahaha funny. The driver said during his time his 2.4km is 5mins++ but in my opinion thats like 99% a lie...at that speed he would no doubt he the world fastest man already.....hahaha aiyoh uncle try to bluff me arh!! and listening to his stories, realised the commando in the past carries much more load compared to the present!! tsk tsk tsk ZHAI!!!
